. Professor Osman Mohammadparast The famous Osman Khafafi was born in 1307 AH in a family of farmers and ranchers from Abadi Rud, in the Khaff region of the present city of Khafaf. Master Osman became acquainted with the dotar instrument at the age of ten and on his way to school. Master Dutar learned this on his own, and this is what distinguishes Uthman's style from other masters called Dutar. The voice of Master Othman's Dutar works a miracle, and when it comes from the heart, it sits on the heart. Uthman never paid to play the dotar, but with the same dotar he founded the school-building aid society and the school-building charity association, and has built about nine hundred and fifty schools so far. He is now 93 years old and has been bedridden since 1997
